Consecutive interpretation

Consecutive interpreting services are available at Thai Translation, in several languages, to clients in need of interpreters for negotiations, bilateral closed-door meetings and other situations where simultaneous interpretation services are not feasible or necessary. Some of the settings for the said type of consecutive interpretation in Vietnam and ASEAN take place in instances such as:

• Factory inspections
• Visits by official delegation
• Factory/Plantation Visits
• B2B meetings
• Trade missions and fairs
• Medical interpreting in hospitals and clinics
• Community interpretation (immigrants and other groups)
• Personnel training

In these settings, no interpretation equipment is usually necessary; rather, it is the classic way of transmitting the utterances of the speakers once they pause to let the interpretation take place. It is more time-consuming, as a 4 hours lecture would take 8 hours to be delivered, but more cost-effective, as no equipment would be needed.

Consecutive interpretation services can be provided by resident interpreters in other regions of Vietnam. Likewise, we can offer the said interpretation services in Singapore and main cities in South East Asia and the Far East (Bangkok, Jakarta, Yogjakarta, Denpasar, Hong Kong, Macao, Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Seoul, Siem Reap, Phnom Penh & others ).

For other destinations, the interpreters can be flown in or commute from the nearest urban center, depending on request.
